Grove Inn Irish Night

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH IRISH ARTS FOUNDATION, Februarys folk night is to take on an Irish slant to celebrate and showcase the upcoming Irish History Month events (throughout March).

The Irish Arts Foundation are delighted to work in partnership with the Folk at the Grove to present an evening of Irish Music on February 8th. The evening will feature:

  • Danny Cameron, one of Manchesters finest exponents of the button accordion,
  • Des Hurley, a particularly influential Leeds based fiddle player,
  • Sam Proctor, a highly respected fiddle player from Nottingham,
  • Chris O'Malley, a well known multi-instrumentalist from Leeds
  • Dave Kosky, a suberb guitarist from Sheffield and a well known performer on the Irish and bluegrass circuits
  • Ian Tether, a fine singer and cittern player who also plays with Sheffield-based Skyhook
  • Damien OŐKane, (banjo, guitar & vocals) Damien is a well known figure in folk festivals as part of a duo with Shona Kipling, and also played with the fabulous FLOOK at this yearŐs Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow
